Kansas State quarterback Skylar Thompson is on a roll. In leading the Wildcats to three straight victories, the senior who played at Fort Osage High has averaged 260 passing yards and has tossed a touchdown pass in each game.

But now, K-State on Saturday plays an opponent it hasn’t been able to solve since 2015: West Virginia.

Meanwhile, Missouri quickly put last weekend’s loss at Georgia in its rear-view mirror and is focusing on South Carolina this weekend. With four victories, the Tigers need two more to become-bowl eligible ... and they’re a slight favorite over the Gamecocks this weekend.

Beat writers Kellis Robinett and Lila Bromberg break down the teams they cover, and with Missouri we get plenty of men’s basketball first impressions, too.
