Shooting at Phenix City apartment leaves victim with life-threatening injuries, police say
A shooting in Phenix City Monday night left a man with serious injuries, according to the Phenix City Police Department.
The shooting was reported at 8:35 p.m. at Fred Douglas Apartments in the area of 1500 11th Ave., police Captain Skip Lassiter said in a news release Tuesday morning. Police said a 30-year-old victim was found with life-threatening injuries. The victim was taken to Piedmont Columbus Regional Hospital.
“The Phenix City Police Department Criminal Investigations Division responded to the scene and began an investigation,” Lassiter said. “If anyone has any information about the shooting they are asked to call the police department at (334) 298-0611.”
Police didn’t immediately say if they knew what led up to the shooting, or if any suspect information was available.
