Trump will beat Biden, but lose the popular vote, veteran GOP consultant says
Veteran GOP political consultant Jeff Roe says President Donald Trump is likely to win re-election — but will lose the popular vote against Joe Biden.
Dave Helling of The Kansas City Star Editorial Board and John Holt of FOX4 News talked with Roe, who ran the campaign of former presidential candidate Ted Cruz, on this week’s episode of “4Star Politics.”
Roe also said that revelations in “Rage,” Bob Woodward’s new book about Trump, showing that the president had minimized the threat of the coronavirus during the early days of the pandemic would likely have relatively little impact because so many books have been written about the president.
Closer to home, Roe unfavorably compared Missouri Democratic gubernatorial candidate Nicole Galloway to former Gov. Jay Nixon and said Galloway’s attacks on Gov. Mike Parson’s character would likely fall flat
The 4Star program this week also features analysis from Colleen McCain Nelson, National Opinion Editor for McClatchy, editorial page editor for The Kansas City Star and a veteran of national political campaigns. KCUR’s Steve Kraske, host of Up To Date on the station, also joins the conversation.
They analyze the presidential campaign, as well as the Kansas 3rd Congressional District race and the effort to recall Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas.
