In crowded Kansas Senate Republican primary, long shot John Miller makes his case

John Miller, a long shot Republican candidate for the U.S. Senate from Kansas, says he likes President Donald Trump’s approach to deregulating the economy.

The tweets and public statements? Miller is less fond of those.

Miller, from Overland Park, signed up at the last minute to run in the GOP primary in Kansas. He’s facing 10 opponents in the primary, including U.S. Rep. Roger Marshall and former Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach.

Miller spoke with FOX4’s John Holt and The Star’s Dave Helling for the “4Star Politics” digital program. He talked about Trump and his philosophy of governance.

Also on Wednesday’s edition: KCUR’s Steve Kraske joined the conversation to analyze the Missouri governor’s race and the Kansas Senate campaigns three weeks before the Aug. 4 primary elections.
