Letter of the Week: Kansas voters should have remorse

Everyone who voted to re-elect Sam Brownback as governor of Kansas should be extremely sorry for what they have done to all Kansas taxpayers.

He has been looking out for the wealthy Kansans and businesses, hoping that they may help him in return if he runs for any other elected office. What Brownback has done is wrong and extremely unfair.

The state is in the midst of a tremendous shortfall of cash, and lawmakers and the governor better figure out soon how to correct this major problem. Transferring funds from one source to another is not the way.

Kansans should also remember that our governor and the lawmakers are responsible for this situation.

It would appear that no matter what course is chosen to get out of this financial mess, it will be up to the average taxpayer to foot the bill by paying more taxes.
