Letter of the Week: Have you thanked your bus driver today?
Thankful for Metro bus drivers
Kudos to our Kansas City Area Transportation Authority bus drivers. As a passenger, I get to observe the amazing talent of our bus drivers, who gracefully maneuver through the obstacle course of cones and barriers resulting from the streetcar construction.
As a part-time driver in downtown, I find it quite challenging to drive my small automobile. As a part-time rider, I experience firsthand the ease with which our bus drivers travel through our downtown streets despite the dismantled road conditions.
Driving these massive vehicles through narrow passageways takes great skill and patience. I have yet to see a cone drop. All the while, these drivers remain calm and professional. They are pleasant and courteous to their passengers and are wonderful ambassadors for our great city.
I thank my bus drivers of Bus No. 142 and Bus No. 37X . Have you thanked your bus driver today?
