Letter of the Week: Proud of the Kansas City Royals
Proud of KC Royals

There always has been something indefinable about going to games at Kauffman Stadium. For me, though, being a Royals fan has always been something special.
It’s about all the nights we’ve spent at games, hearts broken or enduring the weather, loving a team because it’s a part of our family and our city.
It’s about hearing the stories of the World Series-winning Royals and desperately wanting a new story that I’ve lived and been a part of.
It’s about going back to Kansas City from college on weekends just to go to the games and join that electric, sold-out atmosphere that I’ve never witnessed until now.
The Royals have made the playoffs for the first time in 29 years. No matter what happens, I’m proud to be Royal.
