Letters: Readers discuss childlike Chiefs, winter car help and Christmas wishes

Act your age?

Watching the Chiefs beat the Broncos 23-3 Sunday, I noticed several of our supposedly grown, adult, professional football players lying on the field making snow angels. They were behaving like little kids.

It was delightful!

Gifts for all

Dear Santa,

Here is my Christmas wish list for every American:

Sufficient food, shelter, clean water and air so that we can all survive and thrive.

Safety and security from violence and hatred.

At least one person for each of us to love so that no one will ever be alone or lonely.

Jobs, hobbies and passions so that everyone feels necessary, accomplished and fulfilled.

Truth, honor and integrity that aren’t dependent on anyone’s religious or political beliefs.

The wisdom and knowledge to save our planet for ourselves and our children.

I know this is a big list and that we are not always deserving, but we want to do better, and I think we will.

Thank you for your belief in America.

- Scott D. Roby, Lenexa

Needed nudge

Thanks to the four young men in a white car who gave me a push Sunday to get me up the hill going south on State Line Road as I made my way toward Shawnee Mission Parkway.

- Margaret B. Nickell, Kansas City
