Letter of the Week: There is no justification for abortion
Losses from abortion
If people think killing a man or woman is murder, then how could anyone justify killing a baby? I think all life is sacred, even those who don’t follow biblical principles.
My mom lost a baby girl when I was 3 years old. That sister would be 11 now. I remember how distressed our family was over that miscarriage, but I can’t imagine how a mother would feel after an abortion.
What argument could this would-be mom give for infanticide? Would her excuse be I can’t afford a baby right now? I don’t like the father? I was raped?
There is no justification for taking the life of a baby.
No matter what the precious baby was going to be — male or female, scientist, chef, teacher, construction worker or mechanic — no one has the right to eliminate the plans and dreams God gave the baby. Who knows what contributions that child would have made to the world?
Perhaps he or she would have found the cure for cancer. Instead, the world will suffer because of the life lost.
