Monday Poll results: Readers want Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton at presidential debates

Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton both better show up at the presidential debates starting in late September because they are crucial, according to readers of the Monday Poll.

About 1,000 responses were received to statements about the aftermath of the Republican and Democratic conventions.

Here are the full results of the unscientific poll.

1. The person who gave the best speech at the two conventions was:

Donald Trump 10%

Hillary Clinton 12%

Michelle Obama 51%

Ivanka Trump 5%

Khizr Kahn 22%

2. The disruptions that occurred at the conventions — including Ted Cruz’s non-endorsement of Trump and the constant chanting of Bernie Sanders’ backers — helped make them more entertaining rather than canned publicity events.
