Monday Poll results: Keep Kansas Supreme Court justices, oust GOP lawmakers

Readers of the Monday Poll didn’t find a lot of middle ground to support as they looked at elections that loom later this year.

The full results based on more than 1,800 responses:

1. Conservative lawmakers who dominate the Johnson County delegation have performed well enough in office to deserve re-election, fending off more moderate GOP candidates.

2. Democrats have a chance to win more seats than usual in the Legislature, given much of the bad publicity about school funding problems and state revenue shortfalls in recent months.

3. Voters should oust the four Kansas Supreme Court justices up for retention this November, while keeping in place the one justice appointed by Gov. Sam Brownback.
