The U.S. presidential primaries have turned chilly as the Republican and Democratic conventions get closer.

This week’s Monday Poll drew about 300 responses to questions regarding the primaries and the candidates’ increasingly vigorous attacks on each other.

The final results:

1) Bernie Sanders had it right when he said Hillary Clinton is not qualified to be president.

Agree strongly 30%

Agree 7%

Disagree 14%

Disagree strongly 48%

2) Ted Cruz deserves to lose the New York Republican primary on April 19 after his derisive comments in January about Donald Trump and his “New York values.”

Agree strongly 43%

Agree 27%

Disagree 17%

Disagree strongly 13%

3) I’m rooting for an open Republican National Convention this July in Cleveland, because it could mean Trump won’t be the GOP nominee.

Agree strongly 45%

Agree 18%

Disagree 17%

Disagree strongly 20%

4) On the Democratic side, the use of superdelegates — party officials and lawmakers — to help decide the nomination makes sense. They largely favor Clinton, who has the experience that these delegates prefer in a president.

Agree strongly 33%

Agree 12%

Disagree 13%

Disagree strongly 42%
