Kansas City’s elected officials and many members of the business community have been working hard in the past few months to renew the city’s 1 percent earnings tax for another five years.

Opponents, led by St. Louis area multimillionaire Rex Sinquefield, are trying to kill the tax.

On Tuesday, voters in Kansas City will get their chance to say which camp they are in.

We’d like to get your views on the tax in The Star’s latest Monday Poll. And a little warning: Not everyone will be eligible to answer every question this time around. Sorry.
