In the latest Monday Poll, Kansas Citians weighed in with their opinions about last week’s World Series-celebrating parade as well as the future of the Royals.

One result: Oh, yes, people really love this team right now.

The results of the unscientific survey based on about 275 responses:

1) The biggest step that organizers should have taken to improve the parade and rally was:

Double-decker buses for players, so fans could see them better 10%

More buses, especially from the suburbs, for smoother public transit 34%

A longer parade route that could have thinned out the crowd 40%

A better sound system at the rally 16%

2) Tuesday’s events showed we need a better, and admittedly more costly, public transit system.

Agree strongly 39%

Agree 28%

Disagree 21%

Disagree strongly 11%

3) Is it worth it to keep Alex Gordon and/or Ben Zobrist?

Keeping Alex Gordon is top priority 8%

Keeping Ben Zobrist is top priority 38%

Spend the money needed to keep both 35%

Let both leave and Royals will be OK 19%

4) The Royals, not the Chiefs, are truly now Kansas City’s favorite pro team.

Agree strongly 64%

Agree 29%

Disagree 5%

Disagree strongly 2%
