The Monday Poll: Do you approve of President Obama’s actions on immigration?

Saying he couldn’t wait for a gridlocked Congress, President Barack Obama last week took executive action on U.S. immigration policies.

The moves he made could protect up to 5 million undocumented immigrants from deportation. The president also granted work permits to other immigrants.

As expected, leading Republicans responded with full-throated accusations that he was acting recklessly and possibly illegally. Even some Democrats in Washington said they opposed the president’s decision to go around Congress.
