Kansas City is turning blue with excitement as we get ready to watch the Royals play the San Francisco Giants in the 2014 World Series starting Tuesday night at Kauffman Stadium.

The fountains are dyed blue. Fingernails and toenails are painted blue.

And many Royals fans are wearing blue shirts, blue hats and blue sweatshirts these days.

Still, at the end of the World Series, this town wants to be anything but blue emotionally.
