Monday Poll results: When it’s hot, we like the AC more than the pool

It was hot last week when we created the Monday Poll. Like, fry-an-egg-on-the-sidewalk hot. So hot we decided to create a poll about being hot.

Of course, by the time Monday rolled around it wasn’t so hot anymore — a circumstance which perhaps affected the participation in and responses to our unscientific Monday poll. Nevertheless, here are the promised results, based upon just under 100 responses:

1) My favorite way to stay cool in the hot and humid Kansas City summer:

Plenty of cool liquid refreshments. 11%

A dip in the lake or the pool. 9%

Leave town for a cooler place. 5%

Enjoy a breeze somewhere in the shade. 6%

Stay indoors and crank up the AC. 62%

Head to the movies. 7%

2) All this heat, all those tornadoes — proof that climate change is real!
