Civic duty calls: Here are The Star’s recommendations in Kansas City’s elections

Election Day has arrived in Kansas City. Now go get those “I voted” stickers.

Despite the general lack of excitement about the 2015 campaigns, thousands of voters will do their civic duty Tuesday and choose the people who will guide the metropolitan area’s largest government for the next four years.

All voters can participate in elections for mayor, the six at-large districts and one district seat.

Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The Star’s recommendations in all races:

Mayor — Sly James

1st District, at-large — Scott Wagner

1st District — Dick Davis

2nd District, at-large — Teresa Loar

2nd District — Dan Fowler

3rd District, at-large — Quinton Lucas

3rd District — Jermaine Reed

4th District, at-large — Jim Glover

4th District — Jolie Justus

5th District, at-large — Lee Barnes Jr.

5th District — Alissia Canady

6th District, at-large — Scott Taylor

6th District — Kevin McManus

Municipal Court judges — “Yes” to all six, including Todd D. Wilcher
