Finally, Kansas City has its baseball mojo back.

The Royals — for the first time since 1989 — finished a full season with a winning record for two years in a row.

And fans noticed. From long-time sufferers to newbies, almost 2 million showed up at Kauffman Stadium, the most since 1991.

As one of baseball’s big success stories, the Royals had plenty of leaders on and off the field in 2014.
