The Royals spent all of last October playing games that were on national television.

So it’s no surprise that they will be back in the spotlight early this season.

ESPN announced its May schedule for “Sunday Night Baseball,” and the Royals game against the Tigers in Detroit on May 10 is among the games the network will show.

ESPN is apparently interested in highlighting the underdog in May.

While the Royals won the American League Championship Series, just one of their games will be shown in May.

The Tigers, who got a nice consolation prize in winning the Central Division last season, will have three of their games broadcast in May.

In a stunning twist, ESPN will broadcast a Yankees-Red Sox game as well. Neither of those teams made the playoffs last year.
