Here is how the Detroit Tigers scored two runs on an infield single against the Royals
That wasn’t the start to the second half that the Royals wanted.
After taking a lead in Friday night’s game in Detroit, the Royals allowed three runs in the seventh inning and lost 4-2. The big blow was Victor Martinez’s two-run infield single.
With the bases loaded and two outs, Martinez hit the ball back to Joakim Soria, who was unable to corral the ball. Second baseman Whit Merrifield was playing back as the shift was on and Ian Kinsler raced home from second.
