A week after quad contusion, Royals’ Salvador Perez returns to the lineup on Saturday

CLEVELAND — Salvador Perez was listed in the lineup Saturday afternoon as the Royals prepared to face the Cleveland Indians in the third game of a four-game series.

Perez, a three-time All-Star, has missed six games since suffering a bruised quadriceps last Saturday in an 8-7 victory over the Chicago White Sox.

The Royals initially estimated that Perez would miss seven to 10 days.

Perez, who was slated to bat fifth, is hitting .277 with seven homers in 46 games.
