Help pick a Kansas City Royals Dream Team: The all-time top players at each position

Third base should come pretty easy. Second base, too. Other positions might require a little more thought.

If you’re putting together a Royals Dream Team — the best player the club’s ever had at each position, plus starting pitcher, reliever and skipper — who makes the cut? Who falls just a bit short?

We’ve assembled a list of finalists for every position in the field, plus those two pitching spots and manager, and now we’re asking you to help determine KC’s all-time elite starting lineup.

Each day this week, we’ll roll out finalists for several positions and tally your responses via an attached poll (mobile app users, please tap here to vote). Then, on Sunday, we’ll reveal your dozen “winners” in The Kansas City Star and on KansasCity.com.

Check back each day, give the balloting some thought and cast your votes. And if you feel like we’ve overlooked someone, let us know that, too, in the comments.
