MLB All-Star starting lineups: Royals catcher Sal Perez to bat ninth
Royals catcher Salvador Perez received a start for Tuesday night’s All-Star Game for the first time in his career. He finds himself commingling with superstar offensive talent, so Perez’s position in the batting order makes sense.
He will bat ninth at the annual Midsummer Classic. The starting lineups were revealed on Monday afternoon by Boston manager John Farrell and St. Louis manager Mike Matheny.
Here are the lineups as St. Louis RHP Adam Wainwright faces Seattle RHP Felix Hernandez:
