Alex Gordon, Billy Butler sit as Royals conclude series with Indians

Billy Butler and Alex Gordon received rare days off for Sunday’s series finale against the Indians. Butler has appeared in all 86 of the team’s games this year. Gordon sat out in Detroit last month due to a stomach virus, and played in the 85 other contests.

Raul Ibanez replaces Gordon in left. Danny Valencia will be the designated hitter.
