Bubba Starling had three hits Friday night and scored both of Class A-Advanced Wilmington’s runs in a 4-2 loss at Myrtle Beach.
Starter Sean Manaea allowed three runs on four hits in five innings. He struck out six and walked two. Manaea, 2-6, has struck out 60 batters in his last 43 innings.
**First baseman Cheslor Cuthbert hit a solo homer and an RBI double and third baseman Hunter Dozier had two hits, including a double, and two RBIs, but Class AA Northwest Arkansas lost 10-6 to Tulsa. Starter Tim Melville allowed five runs (four earned) on seven hits in five innings. He struck out six and walked three. Reliever Matthew Murray, 0-3, allowed three runs on four hits in 1 1/3 innings.

**Cody Reed and Matt Alvarez combined on a seven-hitter and Class A Lexington won 1-0 at Delmarva. Reed, 2-6, gave up five hits, walked two and struck out two. It was the second straight game he tossed six shutout innings. Catcher Chad Johnson’s sacrifice fly scored Mauricio Ramos in the seventh inning.
**Rookie-Advanced Idaho Falls allowed two runs in the bottom of the ninth inning, scored one in the 10th, but gave up two in the bottom of that frame and lost 7-6 at Grand Junction. Right fielder Brawlun Gomez had two hits and scored twice for the Chukars, who drew eight walks. Alberto Rodriguez allowed two unearned runs in the ninth and Timothy Hill gave up two in the 10th.
**Shortstop Marten Gasparini had two doubles and scored twice, while DH Chase Vallot had a pair of RBIs, but Rookie Burlington lost 6-4 at Pulaski. Carter Hope, 0-1, gave up six runs (five earned) in five innings.
