Alex Gordon scratched from Royals game because of flu-like symptoms
Alex Gordon was scratched from Thursday’s game against the Tigers because of flu-like symptoms, according to the Royals.
Gordon had started in left field in all 71 of the team’s previous games.
Jarrod Dyson replaced Gordon in the field.
Gordon has been a driving force in the team’s recent resurgence. He provided an RBI single and made a run-saving catch in Wednesday’s victory over Detroit.
