Lane Adams hits two homers in Northwest Arkansas' win

Lane Adams hit two home runs and J.C. Sulbaran tossed seven scoreless innings as Class AA Northwest Arkansas rolled to a 7-0 baseball win over Arkansas on Monday.

Adams opened the Naturals’ half of the first with a solo shot, then added a two-run home run in the third inning. That gave Northwest Arkansas a 3-0 lead, which would be more than enough for Sulbaran.

Mark Threlkeld hit a three-run homer in the fourth inning and Justin Trapp knocked in a pair in the sixth inning.

Sulbaran, 4-5, allowed just four hits, walked a pair and struck out six. Malcom Culver and Noel Arguelles each tossed a shutout inning.
