It’s been a rough season so far for Jason Adam at Class AA Northwest Arkansas.
Adam, who pitched at Blue Valley Northwest, gave up seven runs on nine hits in three innings as the Naturals lost 11-8 to Tulsa on Wednesday. Adam gave up nine hits, walked two and struck out two and his ERA climbed to 6.59.
Adam, 0-5, has been alternated good/bad starts all season. He’s allowed two earned runs or fewer in five starts. But after each of those starts, he’s allowed four or more runs each time. Three times he’s allowed seven runs.
Shortstop Orlando Calixte hit a solo ohmer in the fourth inning, his fifth of the season. Third baseman Cheslor Cuthbert had two hits, while catcher Micah Gibbs had two RBIs.

Jonathan Dziedzic allowed just two runs on four hits in five innings but took the loss at Class A-Advanced Wilmington lost 2-1 to Potomac. Dziedzic, 5-4, walked one and struck out two. Third baseman Hunter Dozier continued his hot hitting. He went two for there with a double, an RBI and a run scored. In his last 10 games, Dozier is hitting .405 (15 for 37) with seven doubles and nine RBIs.
Every starter had at least one hit and Class A Lexington pushed four runs across in the ninth inning to break open a close game in a 9-3 victory at Greenville. Second baseman Carlos Garcia hit a two-run homer in the ninth as part of his three-hit game. He also scored twice. Shortstop Ramon Torres, left fielder Dominique Taylor and first baseman Fred Ford each had two hits. Starter Jake Junis, 6-3, gave up one run on five hits in seven innings. He struck out four and walked three.
