Jonny Gomes donates World Series tickets for charity auction

Jonny Gomes isn’t on the Royals’ World Series roster, but he’s still doing work.

Gomes has donated four tickets to Games 3 and 4 at Citi Field, which are being auctioned through the Royals with net proceeds going to Troops Direct, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides items of need, ranging from medical and hygiene supplies to military equipment, to soldiers.

As of 6 p.m. Thursday, the leading bid was over $4,000. You can view the listing at auctions.mlb.com.
