One swing by outfielder Justin Maxwell made a big difference for Class AAA Omaha on Monday.
Maxwell hit a three-run homer in the eighth inning that turned a deficit into a lead as the Storm Chasers beat Round Rock 6-5.
Omaha had been down 4-3 before the longball from Maxwell, who had three hits in the game and knocked in five total. His only downside? Maxwell was picked off and caught stealing. Christian Colon and Johnny Giavotella each had two hits.
Sugar Ray Marimon gave up two runs on six hits and walked three in five innings. He also struck out five. Spencer Patton, 2-0, gave up a run in the top of the ninth, but pitched 1 2/3 innings and got the win.
