J.J. Picollo, a long-time lieutenant of Dayton Moore and a Royals assistant general manager, has interviewed for the vacant general manager’s position in Philadelphia, according to a person familiar with the situation.

CBS Sports first reported Picollo’s interview. Picollo grew up in New Jersey.

Picollo was in attendance for Game 3 on Monday at Rogers Centre.
