Royals left fielder Alex Gordon just went platinum.

During Friday night’s Gold Glove ceremony in New York, Gordon was awarded the Platinum Glove award presented by Rawlings. That award is given to one of each league’s nine Gold Glove award winners.

According to a news release, the winner is determined by combining votes based on an adjusted SABR Defensive Index and fan voting.

Gordon received 21.6 percent of the vote, followed by Royals catcher Salvador Perez (15.9 percent) and Red Sox second baseman Dustin Pedroia (13.2 percent).

Gordon won his fourth Gold Glove award this year, while Perez won his second straight. Eric Hosmer also won a second straight award.

The Cardinals’ Yadier Molina was the National League winner.
