Royals trade minor-league pitcher Greg Billo to Angels for cash

The Royals executed a small trade on Tuesday, sending minor-league right-hander Greg Billo to the Angels for cash considerations.

Billo, 23, had posted a 7.41 ERA in 17 innings with Class AA Northwest Arkansas this season.

In eight starts with Class A Lexington last season, Billo struck out 38 batters in 40 innings with a 1.35 ERA.

The Royals selected Billo in the 28th round of the 2008 draft.
