Christian Binford strikes out 10 in Wilmington's win

Right-hander Christian Binford was dazzling Saturday night as he struck out 10 in seven innings of two-hit ball as Class A-Advanced Wilmington beat Winston-Salem 4-0 at home.

Binford didn’t walk a batter, nor did Zeb Sneed, who struck out three in two innings of one-hit relief. It was the second straight shutout of Winston-Salem for the Blue Rocks.

Left fielder Daniel Rockett had two hits, including a double. Catcher Cam Gallagher had the only RBI of the night as the Blue Rocks took advantage of two Dash errors to score three runs.
