GIF of the day: Hosmer gets down and dirty

First baseman Eric Hosmer collected the first Royals hit of the season, a double in the first inning of Monday's 4-3 loss in Detroit.

Hosmer also had the first defensive gem of the season, making a nice play on a ball hit by the Tigers' Rajai Davis. Pitcher James Shields also showed some fancy footwork in avoiding Hosmer and Davis.

Hosmer won his first Gold Glove award last year and if he makes more plays like this, he may win again.
