Omar Infante deemed healthy; Royals set 25-man roster for Opening Day

Royals second baseman Omar Infante completed a workout with his teammates on Sunday morning, and his health allowed the club to set their 25-man roster for Opening Day on Monday against the Tigers.

Infante had been rehabbing from a bone spur in his right elbow. He still feels a pinch when he hits and throws, he said. But the condition becomes more tolerable as his arm heats up.

Here is the full roster:

Pitchers (11): Francisley Bueno, Bruce Chen, Tim Collins, Aaron Crow, Wade Davis, Jeremy Guthrie, Kelvin Herrera, Greg Holland, James Shields, Jason Vargas, Yordano Ventura.

Catchers (2): Brett Hayes, Salvador Perez

Infielders (6): Pedro Ciriaco, Alcides Escobar, Eric Hosmer, Omar Infante, Mike Moustakas, Danny Valencia.

Outfielders (5): Nori Aoki, Lorenzo Cain, Jarrod Dyson, Alex Gordon, Justin Maxwell.

Designated hitter (1): Billy Butler.
