Bruce Chen and Danny Duffy have been slotted on the same day in the rotation. Chen will start during their next turn, with Duffy backing him up. Manager Ned Yost believes there are enough innings in the game to split between the duo.

Duffy is running out of time to leap-frog Yordano Ventura for the fifth spot in the rotation.

Ramon Hernandez is scheduled to replace Perez behind the plate at some point during the game. He has yet to catch a game this spring, as he has nursed a knee issue.
