Yordano Ventura makes first Cactus League start vs. Giants

Yordano Ventura makes his first Cactus League start. He faces the Giants. Wade Davis will follow Ventura. Shortstop Alcides Escobar will play for the first time this spring.

Mike Moustakas will bat second as the designated hitter in a minor-league game against the Rangers. That tilt starts at 9:30 a.m. local time.

Second baseman Omar Infante said his sore right shoulder feels "better." He hopes to play on Monday, which was manager Ned Yost’s revised plan on Thursday afternoon.
