Overland Park boy wins Major League Baseball’s Pitch, Hit and Run contest

Chase Jans of Overland Park won the 11- to 12-year-old age division of Major League Baseball’s Pitch, Hit and Run program.

Major League Baseball said the competition began in March with more than 625,000 players. There were four age divisions, and a boys and a girls winner was announced from each. Each age group had three finalists travel to Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati for the final competition.

Kaul Kleeman of Miller, Mo., won the boys 13- to 14-year-old age division.
