Royals seek most pre-All Star break victories in Sunday’s game

The Royals face the Blue Jays at 1:10 p.m. Sunday at Kauffman Stadium in the final game before the All-Star break.

The Royals are 51-34, and it’s the third time in club history they’ve reached 51 victories before the break, also in 1976 and 2003.

The teams split the first two games of the series.

Edinson Volquez starts for the Royals, and Felix Doubront is making his second start and third appearance for the Blue Jays after being called up from Class AAA Buffalo.
