Yordano Ventura opens series for Royals in St. Louis
Once again, the state of Missouri looks down upon the rest of baseball. The Royals own the best record in the American League. The Cardinals are tops in the National League. The two clubs will get together for three games this weekend at Busch Stadium.
Kansas City took two of three during the first leg of the season series. They will not face Michael Wacha, who shut them down in the final game at Kauffman Stadium.
Here are the pitching matchups for the three-game series:
Friday, 7:10 p.m.: Yordano Ventura (3-5, 4.62 ERA) vs. Jaime Garcia (1-3, 2.67 ERA).
Saturday, 3:10 p.m.: Jeremy Guthrie (4-3, 5.82 ERA) vs. Lance Lynn (4-4, 3.07 ERA).
Sunday, 1:15 p.m.: Jason Vargas (5-2, 4.10 ERA) vs. John Lackey (4-4, 3.74 ERA).
