Manager Ned Yost has stocked his bullpen with weapons for Tuesday’s American League Wild Card Game (7:07 p.m. on TBS). Danny Duffy, Yordano Ventura and Jeremy Guthrie are all on the roster as the Royals face the Athletics. With Guthrie kept in the holster as an emergency reliever, Duffy and Ventura will complement the hard-throwing quintet of Greg Holland, Wade Davis, Kelvin Herrera, Jason Frasor and Brandon Finnegan.

On the bench will be infielders Christian Colon and Jayson Nix, plus pinch-running specialist Terrance Gore, outfielder Raul Ibañez and outfielder Josh Willingham. Erik Kratz is the backup catcher.

Both Duffy and Ventura started over the weekend against the White Sox. Duffy threw 63 pitches on Saturday. Ventura threw 73 on Sunday. Yost chose them over other options like Aaron Crow, Francisley Bueno and Scott Downs.
