Mike Moustakas expected to rejoin Royals on Monday

DETROIT – Mike Moustakas is expected to rejoin the Royals on Monday in Texas, manager Ned Yost said.

Moustakas left the team on Friday for a family emergency. He was placed on the bereavement list, and is eligible to return on Monday.

With Moustakas out, Christian Colon has filled in at third base. When Moustakas returns, the team will likely option backup infielder Orlando Calixte to the minors.
