Royals closer Greg Holland’s recovery from a right pectoral strain is on schedule. He’s set for a 25-pitch simulated game (against hitters) on Saturday.

“If he clears that hurdle we will be in pretty good shape,” Royals manager Ned Yost said.

Holland was placed on the 15-day disabled list on April 18. A night earlier he collected a save against the Athletics, his fourth in as many attempts.
