It’s hard to remember sometimes that Royals pitcher Yordano Ventura was just 25 years old when he died in a car accident in the Dominican Republic.
Ventura had pitched three full seasons and part of another. He also made 10 appearances in the playoffs and helped the Royals to a pair of World Series appearances and the 2015 championship.
Despite all that success in such a short amount of time, Ventura seemed poised for even greater things when he passed away. In tribute to Ventura’s life, The Star’s John Sleezer made a video with photos of his time in the Royals franchise. You can see it above.
