Royals-A’s Saturday lineups: Paulo Orlando to bat leadoff

Paulo Orlando, “Mr. Triple,” will bat first for the Royals in Saturday’s game against Oakland.

That’s Alcides Escobar’s spot, but Escobar will miss the game because of the knee injury suffered in Friday’s game. The A’s Brett Lawrie slid hard into the second base and into Escobar’s left leg. The injury was announced as a knee strain.

The Royals won the game, 6-4, as Orlando drove in the game-winning run with a triple in the eighth inning. That was his fourth triple of the season. He has a total of five hits.
