It is a day game after a night game. The Angels are starting a left-handed pitcher. So Royals outfielder Alex Gordon will get a day off to rest his right wrist.

Gordon is 1-for-13 to start the season. He has yet to find his timing after a truncated spring training.

Paulo Orlando starts Sunday in left field for Kansas City.
