Alex Gordon gets day off as Royals begin exhibition series in Houston

HOUSTON – Alex Gordon received a day off as the Royals open a two-game exhibition series with Houston. Manager Ned Yost indicated the club did not feel the need to push Gordon and his right wrist.

Here is the lineup as Edinson Volquez takes the mound against the Astros:
