Royals plan to bring all bullpen candidates to series in Houston

The Royals do not intend to make their final roster decisions before their two-game exhibition series with Houston next weekend. The four candidates for the final spot in their bullpen are all slated to pitch in the second game against the Astros.

Manager Ned Yost listed Brian Flynn, Louis Coleman, Luke Hochevar and Ryan Madson as probable pitchers for that Saturday at Minute Maid Park. Jason Vargas will start the game, with Franklin Morales also scheduled to pitch.

The starter on Friday will be Edinson Volquez, with Greg Holland, Wade Davis, Kelvin Herrera, Jason Frasor and Chris Young lining up behind him.

The Royals leave Arizona after their game on Wednesday. Danny Duffy will stay back in Surprise to throw in a simulated game on Thursday.
